Digital Accessibility statement

The University of Białystok undertakes to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the Act of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities. The accessibility statement applies to the University of Białystok website and the University of Białystok Public Information Bulletin.

The website and the BiP are partially compliant with the Digital Accessibility of Public Entities’ Websites and Mobile Applications Act due to inconsistencies or exemptions listed below.

There are videos on the websites that have not been subtitled for the deaf and hard of hearing. Subtitles are being added incrementally to older videos.

Everyone has the right to request accessibility of a digital website, mobile application or any element thereof. It is also possible to request access to information in alternative forms, such as reading out a digitally inaccessible document, describing the content of a film without an audioclip, etc. The request should include the person making the request, an indication of which website or mobile application is being requested, and a means of contact. If the requester wishes to receive the information in an alternative form, they should also specify the form of the information.

The public entity shall comply with the request immediately and no later than within 7 days. If it is not possible to meet this deadline, the public entity shall immediately inform when the request can be fulfilled, but this deadline cannot be longer than 2 months. If availability is not possible, the public entity may propose an alternative means of accessing the information.

If the entity refuses to comply with a request to provide accessibility or alternative access to information, you may file a complaint about such action.
